DAY 01, WEDNESDAY: ATHENS ARRIVAL
Upon your arrival in Athens our representative will meet and assist in your transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 02, THURSDAY: HALF DAY ATHENS
After breakfast enjoy a tour of Athens, combining many of the cities principal modern and classical sights. Visit the Acropolis and drive by the House of Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Panathenian Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896), the Presidential Palace and the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus.
Return to the hotel. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 03, FRIDAY: PIRAEUS – MYKONOS, GREECE
At 8:30 in the morning transfer to the port of Piraeus for embarkation on the cruise ship for your 3-Day Cruise to the Greek islands and Turkey. Set sail for Mykonos at 11:00 a.m. In the afternoon (6:30 p.m.), call at Mykonos, the island which combines an international jet-set atmosphere with a very active nightlife. Stroll at leisure through the whitewashed, flower-decked alleyways, climbing to the sculpture church of Paraportiani or along the waterfront of «Little Venice» to the well-known windmills. Sail for Kusadasi, Turkey at 11:00 p.m.
DAY 04, SATURDAY: KUSADASI (EPHESUS), TURKEY – PATMOS, GREECE
At 7:00 a.m. we call at Kusadasi, starting point for our optional excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus. We visit the spectacular ruins where excavations still continue in this once great and important city, which was founded in the 10th century BC. Then return to Kusadasi for some shopping time before sailing for Patmos, Greece at noon.
At 4:30 p.m. we arrive at this beautiful mysterious rocky island where the exiled Apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation. We have an optional tour: we drive up to the Monastery of St. John the Evangelist, where we have a wonderful view of the island. We also visit the Grotto of the Revelation where the heavenly voice of God revealed to St. John the future of humanity (Rev. 1:12-21). After some free time for browsing, return to the ship for an evening sailing to Heraklion at 9:00 p.m.
DAY 05, SUNDAY: SANTORINI, GREECE
At 7:00 a.m. we call at Santorini where we spend whole day. Disembarkation by tender-boats, weather permitting. Take a mule or the cable car up to the white-washed town of Thera; perched high on the rim of the ancient volcano, the eruption of which (1,600 BC) literally buried a flourishing Bronze Age town which has now been excavated at Akrotiri. Sail for Piraeus at 9:00 p.m.
DAY 07, MONDAY : PIRAEUS, ATHENS - CORINTH
At 7:00 a.m. we arrive at Piraeus. After breakfast you disembark and transfer to the centre of Athens, where you will join a half day tour to Corinth. We drive westwards along the scenic coast, until we reach the Corinth Canal with its breathtaking views (short stop). Shortly thereafter we reach the ancient town of Corinth (visit) where St. Paul lived and preached for two years. Back in the ancient times Corinth was amongst the richest cities and this is quite evident by its remains, including the huge agora (market place) and Apollo's Temple (6th C B.C.), brief stop at the site of the ancient port of Cenchreae where the apostle Paul disembarked. Return to Athens in time for lunch. Overnight in Athens.
DAY 07, MONDAY : ATHENS DEPARTURE
After breakfast transfer to the Airport for your flight back.
